Realising Our Rights:
A Handbook on Mobilising
Domestic Workers

This handbook designed for an organisation called Gender Sphere, looked at mobilising domestic workers. The visual identity for this handbook is deeply rooted in the ongoing ground movements of domestic workers. Through my illustrations, I set out to capture their lived realities, everyday struggles, and collective strength on the frontlines. To ensure the content is accessible and easy to digest, I developed a clear structural hierarchy throughout the layout to break down dense texts. I established a distinct color-coding system to differentiate chapters and thematic sections, guiding readers smoothly through the handbook. Knowing how this resource would be used on the ground, I designed the visuals and contrasting layouts to remain fully legible and high-impact even when printed in grayscale.

Gender Sphere is a feminist resource centre that emerged from the coming together of diverse feminist practitioners – researchers, trainers, lawyers, campaigners, and organizational thinkers – working to enhance policies, programs and operational methodologies through feminist praxis aimed at achieving gender justice and human rights.
